From the Management: I just thought I should say that a lot of these characters were introduced in book one, but since they weren’t all that important most weren’t reintroduced in The Prologue. So don't worry about it too much.
Randy and Hatter
Randy and Hatter are two generic bullies that I came up with…Randy’s name comes from the fact that he’s a ‘Random’ bully, and Hatter…well…he wears a hat. They have been causing trouble ever since they left the sixth grade and Tom and Sam constantly kick their asses.
Mr. Fleshman
Mr. Fleshman is the good natured principal at the school that Tom and Sam attend. He worked as a dean at Harvard for nearly thirty years, but decided to retire to the relatively quite life of an elementary school principal. He allows Tom and Sam a certain degree of freedom when it comes to taking care of bullies.
Anchor Man Steve
Steve is the local news anchor in Mesa Arizona…he’s a conspiracy theory buff and is constantly fired due to his views on aliens. I’m including him here because his antics make me giggle. Yes, I said giggle.
Aarbrin
Once working as second in command on Roto's ship Aarbrin is currently working on The Rose with General Temtrina. Aarbrin is now acting as 'staff supervisor' though he the unofficial second in command. Aarbrin’s name comes from his original incarnation from about seven years ago named Air-Born, I liked the character so I found a place for him in the comic.
Forem
Like Aarbrin Forem worked on Roto's ship as the lead pilot. Forem is relatively inexperience, but has a great aptitude for his job. He has take up the same position on The Rose. He respects Aarbrin, who he also calls friend. Forem is a lot like Aarbrin in that he has been around for years, his name is the cool version of ‘Four-Arms’ of which he does have four arms.
Dis
Tom’s name for the disembodied voice in his head. Whether of not Dis is a manifestation of Tom’s degrading psyche, or actually a supernatural being is yet to be reveled.
NightJewel
A telekinetic assassin, who works for the organization called “New Genesis”, just who she really is and what her back story is has yet to be reveled. She has few memories of her past, but seems to remember that he father was killed when she was very young.
Laura
Hana’s mother. Laura is an ex-punk rocker girl who’s gone home maker, she was rather young when Hana was born and was forced to take a lot of responsibility after her husband died. Laura is a typical over-protective mother, one of the few concessions that she has made is letting Hana train with Jenny.
The Director
The highest ranked official in the ZPF, he resides in the main ZPF base in scenic Iowa. He is determined to get Tom, Sam and Hana removed from their positions as PKF because he doesn’t trust them as protectors of Zictin. He is thoughtful man who gained his position due to his ability to plan several steps ahead of his opponents. He absolutely despises Tom and his assistant has standing orders to 'run him the hell over' if the boy happens to be in front of his car.
Doctor Kavorian
The good natured Doctor works at the Iowa ZPF head quarters, he has been helping Adjana since his transfer there in 1995. Though not much older than Eugene the Doctor feels a kind of protective bond with the siblings and does he best to keep them out of trouble. The Doctor makes up Adjana’s extended family along with Jak-Lak.
Jak-Lak
The always jovial pilot, Jak-Lak is an ex-smuggler for the KC who defected to GASP, Jak was transferred to the ZPF in 1995 and quickly became friends with Eugene Ruabie, he cares about Adjana like she were his own little sister and would do anything to protect her. Jak's accent is based on Remy LeBeau, one of my favorite Marvel characters.
Agent Eugene Ruabie
Eugene works at the ZPF as a member of the highly decorated Special Forces. Eugene is Adjana Silvaria's brother and does whatever he can to help his baby sister. Eugene is best friends with Jak-Lak and can frequently be found drinking with the pilot and the members of his special forces team.
Christopher 'Chris'
Once thought by Tom to be nothing more than his imaginary friend, but after the events in Book One Chapter Eight Tom has come to realized that Chris is much more than a figment of his imagination. Chris lives below Tom's unconscious and seems to be scheming of ways to take control of the boy’s body...Chris takes on the role of Tom's more violent side. Chris is willing to do anything to reach his goals...including killing everyone who stands in his path.
Kyren
God of Knowledge and keeper of the forked path Kyren has an interest in Tom for some reason. Detached and emotionless Kyren seems to care very little for others well being. He refers to eras as 'rounds' and people as 'pawns' or 'pieces'. Loosely aligned with Paoken, Kyren seems to stand by his brother only in so far as it helps him.
Paoken
God of strength and valor Paoken acts with his heart and has a temper that can shake mountains. He calls Tom his 'Vessel' though the meaning of this term is unclear. Paoken watches Tom with interest but has thus far avoided direct contact with the boy. Paoken and Kyren have a fragile alliance, but Paoken believes in his brother and his intentions.
